Miss Paysour was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. She lived in Gastonia when she was growing up. After High School Miss Paysour went to Gaston College and earned an Associates Degree. She then went on to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she obtained a BA in Child and Family Development, Birth through Kindergarten licensure. Miss Paysour taught in Gastonia her first year of teaching and she actually taught at the elementary school where she went when she was a child. After her first year Miss Paysour came to Raleigh to be closer to her sister. It was in the fall of 2003 when Miss Paysour came to work at Root Elementary as their fourth Kindergarten teacher. After teaching for a while Miss Paysour came to the decision to go for her Masters in Education. She attended Campbell University at night while working full-time at Root Elementary. Miss Paysour graduated from Campbell University with Honors in Winter of 2010.

Miss Paysour is the youngest of two children. Her older sister Fran, lives here in Raleigh along with Miss Paysour's niece (Alex). Her niece Alex means a lot to her and Miss Paysour can hardly believe that she is in 3rd grade now.
Interests:
Miss Paysour has been a member of "Models for Charity" here in Raleigh since January 2010. This organization has helped out with many charity events in Raleigh such as: The Heart Ball, The Coalition to Unchain Dogs, The Cat Ball, and many more. Miss Paysour enjoys helping out others when she finds the time (between grading, planning, and teaching). This organization has really helped others in the community and has been a joy for Miss Paysour to participate in.
Miss Paysour also loves to sing. When she was in high school she was a member of the Gaston County Choral Ensemble and the North Carolina National Honor Choir that sang in Carnagie Hall in 1996. Miss Paysour will sing around the room, but has not participated in a choir like that for some time now.
